For as far back as I can recall, water has always held a deep fascination and a sense of magic to my soul”

A little about me…

From my earliest childhood, nature and the countryside have always felt like home. Growing up in the beautiful rural surroundings of North Oxfordshire, the fields, woods, and streams were our endless playground. One of my favorite places was a peaceful pond on a nearby farmer’s land, where I spent countless happy hours mesmerized by the sparkling water. We’d excitedly gather tiny fish and tadpoles in buckets—simple childhood joys that sparked a lasting love for garden ponds and fishing.

This early affection for water gardens grew naturally from that curiosity about the hidden world beneath the surface. Turning this passion into a lifelong career felt like the perfect choice, and I’m thankful I found my path.

In 2005, moving to the South West opened up a whole new chapter. Dartmoor, with its wild, timeless beauty shaped by rivers and streams over the ages, quickly captured my heart. Living here with my partner Caitlin and our four wonderful children—Felix, Rafferty, Koa, and Fenn—means embracing the vibrant, rugged life of the moors every day.

This deep bond with the landscape inspires my work profoundly. The local slate and granite from the western moors form the backbone of what I create, while the lush ferns, mosses, grasses, and ever-flowing waters breathe life into every pond and garden I design. It’s a connection I feel lucky to share and bring to every project.
